A Good Summer
The sun is shining down brightly
The wind is caressing me lightly
The leaves are dancing to the beat
The love birds are happy to tweet
Startled by the noisy highway
As I journeyed along the byway
Guess I am more of a country girl
Maybe just maybe not a city pearl
Smells of the salty sea water
Tells me I'm a step closer
To the nature of summer
I would made a good hummer
As I soak up the sun
I'm having much fun
